"Zmajevi" (The Dragons)

A photograph taken during a flight over the rocky terrain on the slopes of Suva Planina. The 'Zmajevi' (Dragons) are the primary operators of the H-145M helicopter within the Air Force and Air Defence, utilizing the armed H-50B versions. These can be equipped with domestic L-80-07 launchers for 80mm unguided rockets, the GH-78 container with a 12.7mm machine gun, as well as Thales FZ275 70mm semi-active laser-guided rockets in Thales FZ231 launchers. The squadron, part of the 98th Air Force Brigade, operates both variants of the H-145M helicopter: the older BK117 D2m and the newer BK117 D3m.
